DEWALT offers several products that provide the user more control in a bind-up situation than standard clutches and side handles provide. Also provided on select tools are connection options to utilize a lanyard for tethering to rigid structures on jobsites.
CONTROL WHEN YOU NEED IT
Select DEWALT drills and grinders come equipped with the Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH® System. Compared to standard clutches, E-CLUTCH® helps minimize sudden torque reaction in drills by detecting the motion of the tool and shutting it down in bind-up situations. In grinders, E-CLUTCH® shuts the motor down in under a tenth of a second when a pinch/stall is detected.
LANYARD READY™ CONNECTION OPTIONS*
DEWALT LANYARD READY integrated solutions offer options to tether select corded and cordless tools to rigid structures on jobsites when working at height with a maximum lanyard length of 2m, helping to secure the tool in case it is dropped.

THE POWER TO STOP
The electronic Kickback Brake engages with maximum force to quickly stop the wheel and shut off the grinder when a pinch, stall, or bind-up occurs to reduce the risk of damage or injury.
