SAFETY RECALL NOTICE

Safety Announcement: DEWALT DC305 Reciprocating Saw Safety Recall

DEWALT Industrial Tool Company is recalling to repair certain DC305 Reciprocating Saws because it is possible under certain circumstances for a short circuit to develop in the switch, creating a possible fire hazard.

This recall to repair program involves only the following saws:

DC305 Type 1 Reciprocating Saw 200619-49 through 200640-49 Underside of handle where battery is inserted


Saws with an additional rib on the underside of the handle where the battery is inserted are NOT affected. 

A DEWALT cordless reciprocating saw with a yellow and black design, featuring a rubberized grip and a DEWALT logo on the handle and battery.

If your saw is affected, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY, and call DEWALT toll-free 1-866/751-9562 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday to arrange for a free repair.
